ten tips to distinct photography

we are loving the photography app, vsco! here are some tips to get awesome pictures.

  1. don’t do the predictable– with angle and light, there’s nothing you can’t make look cool. try to find edge in strange, or even everyday, objects.

  2. change the light– feel free to adapt the lighting in your shot to highlight what you desire. try without flash and with to compare.

  3. play with the filter- filters should make the photo pop, make sure that they aren’t supporting the photo. in some editing apps you can alter the amount of filter applied to the pic.
  4. take tons of pictures– you can always delete unwanted shots, even blurry ones could look cool!
  5. photograph your friends– sometimes you can find the best candids in the most unexpected times. no posing, be loose!

  6. switch it up– it’s very easy to only capture things that are your style. try something new, maybe something you don’t like to shoot. you may end up enjoying it or at least find a refreshing perspective!
  7. go for the selfie– why not? spice it up, be bold

  8. try simple– sometimes busy shots get to be too overwhelming. there’s a certain level of beauty in the ordinary.

  9. it doesn’t have to be perfect– perfect is boring! let your pictures have personality. sometimes the best things can come out of unorganized shots.

  10. make it fun, make it yours– be proud of what you shoot and have the confidence to share them!
